“I write what I love to read: dark, twisty, psychological thrillers with jaw-dropping endings. But I like to balance out the darkness with light. There’s humour and romance in them too. My first three books have Saeed Sharif as a central character and I’m secretly in love with him (don’t tell my husband). A lot of readers write to say he’s their new book-boyfriend. I think that’s because they feel what I feel when I’m writing him. It’s bizarre but once you get to know your characters, you enjoy spending time with them like old friends. Even the cranky ones…especially the cranky ones!”
